It is finished all round so is free standing and can be placed in any part of the room. It has wonderful serpentine sides and the shaped top is lined with a classical green gold tooled leather insert writing surface.
The eight corners of the desk feature fabulously carved corbeils and lion’s heads, with the borders having rope edge carving. This lovely mahogany partners desk stands on elegant lion’s paw feet in keeping with the overall styling of this fabulous piece. All the carving has been accomplished in solid mahogany. It is identical on both sides, with an equal number of drawers and therefore can be used by more than one person – hence it is named “Partner’s Desk”.On each side of the desk there are five drawers, and two double depth drawers which are useful as filing cabinets.
