As you can see from the photographs we have provided, this is a very attractive burr walnut partners pedestal desk that will quickly become your favourite place to work, whether it be in your home office or in a commercial location.
This substantial desk has been very skilfully crafted in the much admired and much sought after Georgian style. As you can see the partners desk has been lovingly made using fine quality burr walnut with the desk top being skilfully lined with a delightful inset writing surface, made with sumptuous leather, which has been hand-tooled and decorated with fine gilded motifs.
As you will no doubt know, originally, partners desks were made to be shared. Accordingly, this partners desk has been skilfully finished to the same visual standard on both the front and the back. It can confidently be placed anywhere in a room and unlike other desks, it does not have to be placed against a wall to hide an unfinished back.
There is no shortage of storage in this partners pedestal desk. The oval sides of the desk are finished with smart dummy drawers. One side of the desk has three drawers in the frieze above three drawers in one pedestal whilst the other pedestal includes a drawer situated above a double-depth filing drawer.
The other side of the desk also has three drawers in the frieze with a cupboard with a central shelf in each pedestal, the cupboard doors are made to look like banks of drawers. The drawers are all oak-lined and offer plenty of storage space for your office requisites and stationery items.
Is this the front – or the back? – you choose, they both look good but differ slightly in terms of the draw/cupboard configuration.
