Even the most cursory look at the gallery of photographs will tell you just how special this Chippendale style mahogany antique pedestal desk, or kneehole desk really is.

It is made from excellent quality mahogany, the inverted shaped top has an acanthus moulded edge with an olive green gold tooled leather inset with a useful slide to each side.

Another feature that we know all antique desk connoisseurs will appreciate is the provision of ample storage space. Here is comes in the form of three lockable, oak-lined, drawers located in the frieze and being superbly decorated with decorative panels of linked fretwork.

Down below this antique pedestal desk is supported by two shaped pedestals, each having a fielded panel lockable door. One of these doors opens and reveals a further four oak lined drawers whereas the other door conceals a useful shelved interior.

For support and stability, the antique pedestal desk is raised on a set of decorative, carved bracket feet.

The desk stands some 78cm high x 180cm wide and is 95cm deep. In feet and inches that would be 2 ft, 7 inches x 5 ft, 11 inches x 3 ft, 1 inch.
