This antique bureau has been beautifully crafted from fine quality mahogany. The design is simple yet it has managed to make maximum use of the fine grain of the mahogany which is beautiful and has a patina that will continue to improve as time goes by. Our experts have dated this fine piece of antique furniture to around 1780.
In terms of storage, this Antique George III bureau does not disappoint – there are four capacious full width graduated drawers, each being fitted with a lock and supplied with a working key.
When the fall front is opened it reveals a useful stepped interior that contains a total of eight small drawers together with a useful cupboard. There is inlaid decoration to the cupboard door. All in all the interior storage is very extensive and ideal for storing your stationery, office items and, of course, your personal items.
The bureau fall is fitted with an attractive red leather inset gold tooled writing surface which gives it a very distinctive look as well as enhancing the user’s writing experience.
