We are delighted to offer this beautiful antique French Second Empire mahogany “fauteuil du bureau” desk chair made around 1850. It has a curved back in leather padded and an upholstered leather seat.
This chair is made from beautifully coloured mahogany and has been decorated with striking ormolu anthemion plaques. It stands on panelled tapering legs headed by ormolu rosettes and terminating in decorative ormolu paw feet.
This lovely chair is ideal to be used with one of our desirable desks, such as a bureau plat or it could equally well be a special addition to a bedroom vanity table. At only £1,450 this chair offers excellent value.
